I AM SICK OF THEM!!
- so at the start of this school year some random girl started hanging out with me and my friends. she's sooooo annoying, and - wait for it - she had headlice. i saw one moving in her hair one day and told my friends. we were disgusted but we didn't say anything because we didn't want to offend her. we all got it from her. one of my friends caught the lice early before any nits had been laid, and myself and the other friend got them later. myself and this other friend's lice has not gone away. we've tried everythinggggggggggggg. literally everything but they're just not budging. we stayed home for two weeks while we were trying to get rid of them, but after those futile attempts our parents sent us back to school. i've had head lice for three months and i've given up hope. this annoying girl hasn't gotten her lice treaten so we're just going to get it again. my parents and i were discussing just shaving my hair off. it's over waist length but now i'm convinced it's the only way it'll go.

Worst Nightmare.
- I am 14. I got lice in the end of 6th grade. Yes, i have had lice since i was 12. I'm going into the 9th grade. I have done just about EVERYTHING trying to make my lice go away. All the scratching, not being comfortable in school, worrying somone might see, not having my hair played with. I'm DONE! No one else in my house has it. I'm the only child. I live with my mom, dad, and grandma. No one else i know seems to have it. I am so tired of this being in my life. We have tried mayo, RID, NIX, mayo mixed with many things. Almost anything possible. I'm still searching for the answer to ending my horrible head infested lice UGHH! Anyone who has any help to give would be great. I am just so very tired of all this. ITCH ITCH!

Nits Suck
- I have had nits all my life, and whenever I comb them out I get them in a pile and burn them. Because they are so annoying. I keep trying to get them out but they keep coming back. Pretty much everyone has nits though. If you admit to your class that you have nits. Most of the people will think they were the only ones with nits.

head lice
- I have tried shampoos on my children's hair and have had no success. The only thing that I have found to work is a home remedy. Here is what I did. First I took a bowl and put mayo in it, then mixed in some white vinegar. I know it sounds gross and it seems really bad. But completely soak the hair with the mixture. It shouldn't be really thick, but not really runny either. After it is applied to the hair, cover the hair with some sort of plastic (a shower cap or a plastic bag from the store) it really doesn't matter as long as it is plastic. Leave it on for about 30 minutes or so. The head will get warm and sometimes hot. But maybe that is what helps; I'm not sure. Then after 30 minutes, take the bag off and wash hair with a regular shampoo. Rinse with nothing but straight white vinegar. This really helped me with the problem of getting the head lice out of my children's hair. The smell of the solution is enough to make a person gag, but it worked and hopefully it will help.

Lice Stinks!
- I have had head lice 2 times. RID does not work!!! The first time I had lice I was so upset and then I got rid of it. The second time I got it it turns up my best friend had it so it really stinks but I had to dye my hair. It works. I never got it again. So if you have it and you need to get rid of it dye your hair -- it works.

Head Lice for Seven Years!
- To tell you the truth, my daughter has had it off and on four seven years. I cant get rid of it! I've tried Crisco (I read it works online) RID, NPC Lice treatment, and many more. But I can't get it to leave her poor head. And I know it's bad for her because she has been sent home from school with it; the bad thing was the school put every child in the lunch room then checked their heads in front of the other kids. Wow! I felt bad for her. I wash everything in my house and vacuum everything. I do anything and everything I can possibly think of. It won't go away.

Can be annoying I know!
- Hi - mother of two girls. When my eldest got her first case of headlice, I felt like a bad parent. We treated it and was hopeful that that'd be it. Well folks both my girls get it on a continual basis because of the lack of care by other parents. Sure it's annoying but I think the worst part is our reactions to it because u feel for ur kids and their heads ache from having to sit still for a long time. My neck gets sore sometimes checking but you know all that can be put aside if you have a bit of humor about the situation. My eldest got it so regularly and to avoid her getting self conscious I just made up names for them like that "Uncle George who invited him to come over" etc and just got on to the task at hand. My girls are pretty used to my seeking the critters out now. Great natural remedies are out there but please mums dont get upset. Makes it hard on kids if we fuss over these bugs. Have to be stoic about it and accept that's a part of school life. It's not a big deal.

Battled lice nearly 5 years!!!
- I used to have headlice. It was a pain! and it was imbarrassing! Like one time, i was on my way to a volleyball game, and i had headlice so bad, that one crawled across my face, and my friend turned around, and was like WHATS ON YOUR FACE!! And i was like a fuzz, and she said ohh. Then i was like pheww. And one time i was walking down school hallway and one climbed into my mouth!! and i accedentally bite down on it! And i spit it out!! I battled lice for nearly 5 years!!!! I have no idea how i even got it and i have super super thick hair. I have dandriff, and my mom was all like, why are yu itching yur head, and i said it was bc of the dandriff. I knew i had lice, but i was scared, my mom finally found out, but that was like 4 monthes later!! So it had gotten bad!!

I had them for years
- When I was in lower secondary, I had beautiful long hair. But in Form 2, it started to feel itchy. Very itchy. I didn't think it was anything, until my friend was combing my hair. I had head lice. Lots of head lice. I was devastated, but it transpired all the girls also had lice. The school didn't do anything. Our parents didn't do anything. We didn't do anything. So we just continued scratching until Form 5. We grew used to it. We wrote with our right hand and scratched with our left. We joked about it. Can you believe that we put up with the itch for four years?

- Lice are a pain to me i have had them 4 times before and i have them now and i just can't seem to get rid of them. I have asked my mum to check my hair And we found a few lice eggs so i am going to go treat my hair with vinegar and lots of shampoo and conditioner and comb them out! Wish me luck!

no not nits again
- we are continually battling these little blighters. our plan of actionwhich seems to keep them at bay is as follows. 1. slather conditioner on dry hair really thick and let sit for about 10mins. it doesnt have to be expensive just a cheap one will do. now i would suggest a metal nit comb. you are gonna have to sit there and go through it section by section and comb through it all. 2. then use a tee tree oil shampoo either shop bought or made by yourself ( just google a recipe) use this every day for two weeks. 3. during this two week period check every day. and do another conditioner treatment. 4. After you have washed your hair once or twice a day you need to rinse with a cheap vinegar. vinegar help dissolves the nit glue. ( i read somewhere that Nits have been known to stay stuck to a hair shaft for over 4 years) brush through with a a comb. 5. hot wash your bed linen and dry in the drier if possible all on hot.and soft toys bag up and remove from room for two weeks

Leave Me Alone
- My head had been itching for a long time and I found a bottle of nit lotion, put it in, left it for 10 mins and washed it off. I must have combed out literally 100 nits. I wasn't itchy for a week after that and continued to do daily nit comb outs. Then I found another bugger. I repeated the steps. Then I found another. Repeated the steps and now I just found 2 mating in my hair. My hair is very thick. I reckon one of my mates has a realllll bad case and keeps passing them on to me. God help me.
