What kind of injury is it
This is the result or a burn which was incurred more than a week ago. I'm concerned that it may be infected because of the way it looks and because it is still painful.
What happened
I was broiling fish. When I went to take out of the broiler the top of my hand inadvertently touched the broiler element burning my hand. It was initially very painful and I put it under cold running water. Since that time I have been using an old tube of Bactroban which I had in the house
What I'd Do Differently
- I would insure that my had was covered by a mitt which fully covered my hand when broiling.
