What kind of injury is it
burn from steam off kettle
What happened
i switched kettle on to make cup of tea. while i was sorting the cups i leaned over the kettle without thinking and my knuckles went right over the steam just as the kettle was almost boiled. i then went straight over to the kitchen sink where i ran my hand under the cold tap. it didn't look that bad till later on that night when the blister and soreness got worse.
What I'd Do Differently
- i have turned the kettle around so i no longer have to lean over it when making a cup of tea. i will be a lot more careful while dealing with the kettle.
