What kind of injury is it
Superficial second degree burn...however only two very small blisters occurred...
What happened
My fiance told me to hold his 300kg Harley!!! And I leaned on the hot pipe! I had to go to hospital; the pain and shock was terrible...
I had never experienced a burn and would like to share and hopefully help others with any answers I can provide.
Before I went to hospital I had a half hour in the shower with water and ice. This is the best thing to do at the start as it prevents the burn from travelling deeper into the skin.
What I'd Do Differently
- I used castor oil from the very first day,
- my blisters didn't pop, no infection and I've been old by many docs/naturopath that the healing was incredible!
- Castor oil prevents scarring and also has antibacterial agents.
- Only thing is now I'm tanned I have olive skin and its not scarred but its light pink :( .. I want to know how long till olive pigment comes back? Lol also it has hair follicles so it wasn't that deep!
