Why I think it's a spider bite
I work in a detention center. In some area's it dark and also cool. The temperature fluctuates between being cool and warm.
No glimpse of the culprit at all. Didn't know I was bitten till almost 8 hours later! It was swollen and very light pink in color, and oozing puss. I live in South Carolina!
What happened
I saw the doctor/nurse at the detention center since I also had to do a injury report as well. I did this almost 34 hours after the fact. The doctor said they've seen spider bites and mine didst carry the symptoms of a brown recluse which was my concern. They gave me some antibiotics and some external antibiotics and bandages.
Advice
- Id keep away from cool dark places w/o a flash light, and certainly be much more aware of living conditions for insects of all kinds and their habitats!
