Why I think it's a spider bite
There isn't really any other explanation.
I woke up in pain. I saw the irritation on my arm. At that time there were two small separate blisters within about a centimeter of each other. There was a rather large swollen red area surrounding the blisters. By about 3 p.m. the two small blisters had developed into one rather large blister. My regular doctor was out of the office, so we visited an urgent care clinic. The doctor there prescribed me Sulfamethoxazole tablets and directed me to take two tablets twice a day for ten days. He more or less said he didn't know what it was without lancing it and taking a culture. He said that it could be part of the Shingles Virus, but I knew that not to be true as I am only 21 and I've never even had Chicken Pox. About ten minutes after leaving the clinic, I shut the door of my SUV, and it popped anyway. Now, about 3 days later, it's looking pretty ugly. Nothing like the Brown Recluse bites I've seen, but not pretty either.
- It is a good idea to visit a doctor when something like this happens.
