Why I think it's a spider bite
I did not see any insects. A day later, I thought the bites were mosquito bites, until two days after, when the center started getting larger. That's when my husband thought they were from a spider or spiders.
What happened
First, I applied insect repellent on my legs and arms before going to my tomato garden, in the early evening. I did not feel anything at first, until the next day; and thought mosquito bites. This photo is three days after. The area started itching, so I put hydrocortisone on the area. It has a little pain only if I press on the bites. After two days, I noticed the area red, and center larger. My husband thinks they are spider bites. I have not been to the doctor, but if it gets worse, I will go. I am putting Witch Hazel and cortisone cream on them and taking Benadryl.
Advice
I am not sure if I would do anything differently. I have been in my garden many times this season, without having any bites, and this time, I had insect repellent on, as the other times I did not. I think it was just being in the right place at the wrong time.
