Why I think it's a spider bite
Well - I can't think of anything else that it might be.
What happened
I noticed the bite on a saturday morning. It was about the size of a dime, a bit smaller perhaps. By Saturnday night I had a fever that then lasted for several days and that reached 104 degrees at one point. I also had a whopping headache that just would not go away. The bite continued to worsen and got angrier and bigger and more painful. I had about 4 bites on me with the one on my leg being the worst.
The Dr. had no idea what it was and I did not get a glimpse of the culprit. I was in NYC at a "4" star hotel in Times Square the week before so i'm pretty sure whatever got me, it was in NY and probably while I slept. ICK.
I have been on antibiotics and my fever is gone, the pain and swellng of the bite have gone down but there is still that black bullseye (scab but not a scab) and it's still got the circle of red around it.
Does anyone recognize this bite for what it might be?
Advice
- Next time i'm in NY or any hotel for that matter, i'm dousing myself with OFF befire i get into bed :)
