Why I think it's a spider bite
It has the looks of a spider bite.
I thought at first just dry skin, then started to get a bump under the skin with a small blister, has a low grade fever and is slightly a redish color. It is starting to hurt to walk on it.
What happened
My 6 year old woke up from being in bed asleep for the night. We noticed a spot on the back of his leg (calf area) when he was getting ready for school At first I thought it was dry skin, then a couple days went by and he started to complain that it hurt to walk. I checked it and noticed a quarter to fifty cent piece lump under the skin, It had started to hurt and have a low grade fever in his leg and the red was growing with the lump.
Advice
- There needs to be more information on the types of bites and treatment out there for parents, especially when we can't find what caused the injury.
