Bad Spot for a Spider Bite

Bad spot for a spider bite!

Tell us where your bite is (arm, leg, nose, whatever)

Under my right armpit along my "bra" line

Why I think it's a spider bite

It swelled up very fast after I believe I was bitten, about a half a day. A "head" formed about 4-5 days later. Meantime, it was hot to the touch, hard and very red, as you can clearly see. And very, very sore. I do not believe it was a real bad, bad spider, like a black widow or a brown recluse. But I do think it was a spider that bit me!

What happened

I got a prescription from my cousin who is a doctor for Keflex 500 mg , 2X a day for 7 days. She told me to also use warm damp compresses 4X a day until it was better. It started to drain on it's own about the 4-5 day.

The first few days the soreness was like a bad bruise. After it started draining it felt like a very bad sunburn.

Advice

Do use the warm moist compresses. They give the most ease. Better than any pill. I used a wet wash cloth that I microwaved for about 20-25 secs each time. It really helped!
