Why I think it's a spider bite
The doctor says it's a spider bite.
What happened
3 y/o granddaughter sitting in a chair - let out a cry and her toe immediately began to swell. Couldn't see any puncture marks because of the swelling - called poison control thinking maybe a small scorpion bit her. Gave benedryl and iced it. Went to doctor.
Day 2 - very swollen still. Day 3 swelling going down; toe has a gray color to it. Day 4 - can actually see the bite is just on the base of her toe. Now a very large blister is forming.
Advice
- Call poison control. They have actually been the most helpful with diagnosis and treatment.
