Some first aid kits are purchased whole, as prepackaged units. Others are built by the user, growing and evolving over time. These pictures show large, small, professional and homemade kits. Some of these first aid kits were found in readers' homes and offices or even in their pockets. Some I found in my own travels through the real world and the virtual one.
Some kits have stories to tell: one first aid kit even saved a life without ever being opened.
