Fight Injuries Needing First Aid

Physical altercations, thankfully, are pretty rare. Once in a while, though, somebody's gonna get hurt. Here are some common injuries that fighting can cause.

Getting Punched in the Eye

Getting punched in the eye is a pretty common fight injury. My best recommendation is learn to duck. If that didn't work, learn what to do for the swelling.

Getting Punched in the Nose

Sometimes, the right hook meant for your eye hits a little low. Again, you didn't duck. Oh well...learn how to stop the blood gushing from your nostrils.

Getting a Cut

So you've torn open a gash. Now it's time to determine if stitches are necessary. Stop the bleeding and take a look - you may be heading to the emergency room.

Getting Knifed

First of all, if you're reading this with a gaping wound or a knife sticking out of your side - get off the computer and call 911! On the other hand, if you're just researching for your best friend's bachelor party (I don't want to know where you're going), then read on. Cuts use the link above, but if they've left the pearl handle sticking out between your buddy's prenuptial ribs, then find out how to handle it.

Ding Ding Ding - You're Out!

It's generally accepted that the guy who gets knocked out lost the fight. Once again, if the groom is currently snoring on the floor next to you, call 911! A boot to the head is the beginning (or end) of bad day.
