Heart Attack Symptoms

Tuesday September 12, 2006
A new study published in Circulations: The Journal of the American Heart Association shows that sudden cardiac arrest may not be as sudden or as silent as doctors originally thought.

This study will not be a surprise to many emergency healthcare providers. It's basically rewording what we have said for a long time. Most of the cardiac arrest victims had a history of heart disease, and the symptoms mentioned in the study are the symptoms of a heart attack.

  • chest pain
  • shortness of breath
  • nausea and vomiting
  • dizziness
Victims experiencing any of these symptoms should call 911 immediately. It's important to know when to call 911.
