Preparing for Flu Season

Friday September 8, 2006
Now that the kids are heading back to school, the infections are flying around the classroom. Flu season is just around the corner. Take a look at what Vince Iannelli, About's Guide to Pediatrics, suggests to prepare for flu season:
Since many parents have had trouble getting their kids their flu vaccine the last few years, now can be a good time to start preparing for this year's flu season and figure out where you are going to get their flu shot. Also, learn about the new recommendations for this year's flu season and when your child should get their flu vaccine.
In case your kids (or you) are feeling a bit under the weather, make sure you know when to call 911 and how to recognize certain red flags, like shortness of breath and dehydration.
