New York Daily News - Unsung Heroics of EMTs
Tuesday June 6, 2006
The praise that goes with other public safety services sometimes gets lost on its way to emergency medical services (EMS). The New York Daily News shows how important - and how busy - the EMTs and paramedics of the FDNY EMS Unit are.
Believe it or not, EMS workers with FDNY are not considered part of a uniformed service. They are not sworn members of the fire department. If you're in New York, or any other town, village, or city, honk and wave when you see the ambulance. They're saving lives everyday.
